
RULES
DEFENSE:
Zone and man-to-man defenses are allowed
GRADE AND AGE REQUIREMENT:
The grade/age requirement for the tournament is rising seniors and under. Prep school players are allowed ONLY if they are entering their first year of prep school in September of this year.
No second year and beyond prep school players are allowed. Also, no player can be older than the age of 19 regardless of whether they are a rising senior or first year prep.
ROSTER LIMIT:
There is a limit of 15 players per team. A team cannot add any players after they have played their first game.
PLAYERS LISTED ON MULTIPLE ROSTERS:
A player cannot play for multiple teams. After a player's first game, he must remain with that team. There is no roster changing/switching if a team/club has two (2) or more teams
participating in the tournament.
POOL WINNERS:
Pool winners are determined by best record in each pool. Tie breakers are determined first by head-to-head match-ups and then by offense-defense point difference
(Total points scored minus total points scored against you. Whoever has the highest point difference wins the tie breaker.)
BLOWOUT RULE:
A team will be awarded a maximum of 15 points in a blowout victory.
MERCY RULE:
If a team is winning by 20 points or more with two (2) minutes remaining in the game, then the game will be called.
UNIFORMS:
Teams will wear their own team/club uniforms for the tournament. No jewelry, earrings and rubber bands are permitted to be worn during the game.
PUNCTUALITY:
Please arrive one (1) hour before your scheduled game and check in with the tournament director.
PLAYERS AND COACHES CONDUCT:
Both players and coaches are responsible for their behavior at all times. Disruptive behavior toward referees, other coaches and players, and tournament staff will result in technical fouls
and possibly ejection from the game and the tournament.
POOL PLAY AND PLAYOFFS
TIME OF GAMES:
There will be two (2), 16 minute halves. The clock will stop on every whistle.
HALFTIME:
There will be two (2) minutes placed on the clock for halftime.
SHOT CLOCK:
There will be 35 seconds placed on the shot clocks.
PERSONAL FOULS:
Players are allowed six (6) fouls before disqualification.
THE BONUS:
One and one will be shot on the seventh team foul and two (2) shots on the tenth team foul in each half.
TIME OUTS:
Each team will be given three (3), 60 second time outs and two (2), 30 second time out for the game.
OVERTIME:
The first overtime will be four (4) minutes. The second overtime and beyond will be one (1) minute. One (1) additional 60 second time out will be given to each team in overtime.
CHAMPIONSHIP GAME:
(THE RULES WILL BE THE SAME AS ABOVE WITH THESE EXCEPTIONS)
HALFTIME:
There will be five (5) minutes placed on the clock for halftime.
OVERTIME:
Four (4) minutes will be placed on the clock for the first overtime three (3) minutes for the second, two (2) minutes for the third and one (1) minute for the fourth and beyond.
One additional 60 second time out will be given to each team in overtime.
